Resourcing Co-Ordinator
I am the Resourcing Coordinator for Buildbase, Hirebase and Electricbase, which means that I deal with the day-to-day recruitment for these three businesses. This includes editing and posting adverts and job descriptions, arranging interviews, advertising vacancies across our social media pages and sourcing suitable CVs through online databases.
I started working for Buildbase more than three and a half years ago and continue to really enjoy it. Working here is great as it gives you the feeling that what you do in your role can really impact and have a benefit on the business as a whole. I genuinely believe in our company values and that they are instilled in all of our people.
I love my job and working at Buildbase generally. I’ve never had a bad day. One of my favourite parts of the job is speaking to and interacting with our branch managers, regional managers and other members of the operations team. I’m also part of a brilliant HR team, which makes my role even better as we work together in a great environment. They make coming to work fun!
I just seemed to fall into this industry. Before joining Buildbase I was working in agency recruitment. I was initially attracted to the laidback and friendly attitude that came with working for a builders’ merchant and that has been evident in my time here, but it is so much more than that. I now couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. Everybody is so approachable and we have a lot of laughs together.
Don’t be put off by how you think it might be because you’ll most likely find that it’s quite the opposite.
