The Role of a Warehouse/Sales Operative

We are looking for an individual to cover the various areas of our Manchester branch of Lloyd Worrall. A great opportunity for an individual to infiltrate themselves into the team by learning the various roles within the branch. For the right individual there is lots of scope for opportunity within the company and it is a great platform to achieve your potential.

We will provide you with plenty of fantastic industry training from across our group. The role includes but not limited to the following areas:

Goods In

• Receiving & checking delivered purchased goods
• Allocation of stock to outstanding picking orders or locating in correct stock location within warehouse.
• Posting stock onto computers daily, running back up reports and filing

Warehouse

• Picking & Packing of small orders & contract call off orders. 
• Preparing orders for dispatch with carriers for delivery to our customers.
• Keeping stock in correct locations and tidy, rotation of stock.
• Assisting in weekly stock counts as instructed.

Trade Counter

• Help advise/serve customers, take payments, process orders to delivery stage.
• End of day procedures, including posting payments to computer & liaise with Credit Control.
• Assist in admin procedures for audit purposes.
• Take phone calls/process of small orders by phone & e-mail, to dispatch/invoice stage.

Assist ABM / Manager in operational duties

• Stock control & stock take and learn all aspects of Operations, to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are maintained.
• Assist in administration of larger contract orders, from the input and running of staged delivery date contracts.
• Maintaining stock files as & when.
• Help maintain supplier queries on Accounts payable system as a backup & charging of any direct orders.
• Cover of generic Manchester received e-mails.
