The role of a Regional Sales Manager

To manage and support a team of Sales Development Managers to develop their sales and margin objectives and to manage a small number of key accounts within the region. 

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Meet and exceed agreed regional sales and margin targets
  • Manage and maintain a trustful relationship with your field based team
  • Maintain and develop key supplier relationships
  • Identify any areas for development through regular reviews with your team
  • Continually update product knowledge and share this with customers and sales team to maximise sales and margin
  • Work with the branches and sales team to identify and implement sales plans with existing and declined to maximise sales and margin
  • Meet and maintain administration in line with business requirements
  • Oversee a dedicated team of Sales Development Managers to help them achieve their sales, margin and new business targets

What you need

You'll need to have previous experience in a similar role, the will to succeed and the work ethic to lead and be part of a winning team. You'll need to be a good communicator and be great at building key relationships. Lastly, you'll be resilient and able to manage your team and diary.
