We are looking for an Plant & Tool Hire Manager in Basingstoke

What we’re doing about COVID-19

Like most businesses, we have had to change the way we do things to make sure all our colleagues are working safely during COVID-19.  As an Assistant Manager, your job means you will interact with lots of different people during the day, so we have introduced a set of Safer Operating Procedures which include:

  • Additional PPE supplied to you to ensure a clean and sanitized work environment
  • Social distancing in place in all of our branches  

The Branch

Basingstoke is one of our Buildbase branches, who have transformed their sales figures under the new Branch Manager. With this in mind it is important that all members of the team are willing to muck-in and support across all roles within the branch to ensure our customers are getting the best service possible and we continue to reach branch targets

The role of an Plant & Tool Hire Manager

Our Hire Managers are an integral part of our business, they make sure that they achieve Hire Budget and ongoing Hire KPI improvement. If you’re good at multi-tasking then this could be the role for you. You will also promote the Hire and Sales business whilst building customer relationships by both internal and external selling. You will be expected to help manage the team while also getting stuck in with servicing equipment and maintaining the high health and safety standards within the branch.

What do I need to be successful?

  • experience within the Plant/Tool Hire industry
  • great people skills, ideally gained from managing a team
  • impeccable Customer Service skills
  • good when it comes to planning and organising
  • strong financial awareness
  • a full driver’s license which allows you to tow
  • an interest in the trade, or a mechanical background/interest/qualification
